Rep Fuel didn't start in a boardroom or a food lab. It started at 5:30am, after a workout, when the only thing in the bag was a protein bar that tasted like compressed sadness.
Marcus Webb had been training for ten years. He knew his lifts, knew his splits, tracked every gram. But he couldn't find a snack he actually looked forward to eating. Protein bars were dense, dry, and tasted like they were trying to trick him. Shakes were fine but required prep he didn't always have time for. Real cookies were a macro nightmare.
So in 2023, Marcus did what any obsessive gym-rat turned amateur baker would do: he started testing. Dozens of batches. Different protein blends, different binders, different textures. He roped in his training partner Dana, who turned out to have a pastry background nobody knew about.
Six months and roughly four hundred cookies later, they had something. A cookie with 20 grams of protein, real flavor, the right texture — chewy center, slight edge crisp — and a macros breakdown that made their nutrition coach raise an eyebrow in a good way.
Rep Fuel launched in early 2024 out of a commercial kitchen in Denver. It sold out in three days. The second batch sold out faster. You're here because the third is coming.
The numbers on the label aren't marketing. They're the brief. Every flavor is engineered around the macro target, not the other way around.
We have turned down suppliers and reformulated entire batches because the texture wasn't right or the flavor felt fake. If we wouldn't eat it, it doesn't ship.
Every ingredient has a job. If we can't explain why something's in there in one sentence, we take it out. Transparency over complexity, every time.
